EcoAtlas mapping and data visualization tool

The California EcoAtlas, provides access to information for effective wetland management. The maps and tools can be used to create a complete picture of aquatic resources in the landscape by integrating stream and wetland maps, restoration information, and monitoring results with land use, transportation, and other information important to the state’s wetlands. Major funding for these tools was provided by the EPA and the State Water Resources Control Board.

The RMP is an innovative collaborative effort between SFEI, the Regional Water Quality Control Board, and the regulated discharger community. SFEI hosted many meetings, but by far the largest and farthest-reaching, and generating the most media, is the RMP Annual Meeting held in the early fall. The meeting is an opportunity to present the current year’s Pulse and highlight the latest findings from monitoring and research. Past locations have included the Oakland Museum, the Oakland Marriott, the Henry J. Kaiser Center, and the David Brower Center in Berkeley, California. The Pulse has become a flagship product for the RMP and SFEI. There are also other social media, communication and presentation materials created leading up to the meeting, during, and after.
